Teaching I Timothy 1ff: "To Timothy, my true son in the faith:" Do you care about other people? In this second verse, Paul wrote about Timothy with love and care for him! To Paul, Timothy was like a son to Paul. "Acts of the Apostles" in the New Testament reveals how Paul truly kept up with Timothy and his whereabouts. "Son" is such an endearing term for another. Paul the older Christian man mentoring and caring for the younger man, Timothy. Oh, how we need to pay attention to the Bible: friendships and mentoring are sorely needed throughout the world, but especially the United States! We seem to be so independent! We need each other.
Paul notes Timothy was "in the faith." Yes, Timothy was raised in the scriptures when he was a child! Timothy had given his heart to the Lord Jesus Christ!!! Timothy was saved from his sins!
